Classification & Wine Law

Quality winemaking zones are regulated in Algeria by the Office National de Commercialisation des Produits Viti-vinicoles (ONCV). In addition to designating quality winemaking zones, the ONCV is involved in almost every aspect of the winemaking process for many of the wines produced in Algeria. From vineyard and facility sanitation, to guiding the winemaking operations through the bottling process, the ONCV plays a part.
