Balearic Islands

            The DO Pla i Llevant is located on the south half of the island of Mallorca. The growing areas are located around the towns of Felanitx and Manacor. 

 

            Mediterranean with mild winters. 

 

            Average temperature: 60F and summer temperatures can reach as high as 95F.

 

            Average rainfall: Roughly 17 inches annually.

 

            Sunshine hours: 2,800 sunshine hours.

 

            The vineyards within DO Binissalem Mallorca are situated northeast of the city of Palma de Mallorca. The Sierra de Alfabia is to the north of the DO. To the south and east of the Binissalem Mallorca is DO Pla i Llevant.   

 

            Mediterranean with mild winters. Although the summers can get very hot, the altitude of the vineyards moderates the temperatures of the vineyards at night.
