Geography
 
            Valencia is divided up into two separate geographical areas containing four subzones. To the north and east of Utiel-Requena is the northern section of Valencia that is bisected by the River Turia. This area contains the subzones Valentino, Alto Turia and Moscatel de Valencia. The second and more southerly portion of the DO is directly north of the inland portion of DO Alicante. The subzone of Clariano is within this smaller portion of DO Valencia.
